The CW has released a farewell video to the fans from the cast and crew of The Vampire Diaries:

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES cast and producers returned to Comic-Con 2016, making their eighth appearance at the convention on Saturday, July 23, to give attendees a glimpse at what is to come in Season 8 — and they then surprised all fans in attendance with a love letter in video form, thanking them their support throughout the years as executive producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec announced that the show’s upcoming eighth season would be its last. The video contained the exclusive premiere of the new song “Changing Tides,” by The Fray. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES returns for its final season Friday, October 21, at 8/7c on The CW
