Deadline shares this exciting news! Looks like Paul is going to be busy after he finishes filming The Vampire Diaries!

The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley has signed a pod deal at Warner Bros. TV for his production company, Citizen Media, with partner/former The Vampire Diaries executive producer Bob Levy.

Under the pact, Wesley and Levy will develop new television projects for the studio, starting with a darkly comedic single-camera half-hour based on a non-fiction article by Jason Smith called Confessions Of a Drug-Addicted High School Teacher.

Citizen Media has three other series projects in the works that preceded the WBTV deal, including a limited series at ABC produced by Robert Redford.

Titled Pecos, the ABC limited series, produced by ABC Signature Studios, is inspired by the true story of a 29-year-old rookie journalist who takes down one of the richest, most powerful men in Texas, proving his gigantic business empire is a complete fraud, in 1962 Pecos, Texas. Shawn Christensen, Oscar winner for his short film Curfew, is writing. Citizen Media’s Wesley and Levy executive produce alongside Robert Redford and Laura Michalchyshyn of Sundance Productions.

At Fox 21 TV Studios, Citizen Media has Finding Natalie, a drama about a young Mexican woman searching for her 17-year-old sister Natalie who was recently kidnapped by a sex trafficking cartel. NY Playwright and The American’s writer Hillary Bettis will write.

At Freeform, Wesley and Levy is developing one-hour series Shanghai Summer, about 20-something Americans pursuing their dreams in Shanghai, China. Oanh Ly (The Catch) is on board to write the script.

Wesley, as well as fellow Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder, landed overall deals with the series’ producer WBTV as part of their most recent talent pacts for the long-running CW drama.

Wesley is hitting the ground running, having already started building a development slate with veteran producer/executive Levy, who also has served as an executive producer on such series as Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl.

Wesley is repped by ICM Partners and Management 360. Christensen, who has the upcoming feature Sidney Hall, is repped by Verve. Bettis is repped by CAA.

TV Guide talks with Paul & Ian about how they would like to see the Vampire Diaries end for their characters Stefan & Damon. What do you think of their idea?

We have a lot of strong feelings about how we hope The Vampire Diaries will end, but we aren’t the only ones. We asked the cast of the hit CW drama what they imagine their character’s ideal happy ending is, and some of their answers might surprise you.

“I really think [Stefan] should take off his ring and die with Damon,” says Paul Wesley. “I think that would be the perfect ending.”

Ian Somerhalder echoed Wesley’s sentiment, adding that the Salvatore brothers should fly to the Caribbean for their final hurrah. “Just sit on a beach all night drinking Caribbean rum, and when the sun comes up, [share] one last toast, give each other a hug, take off their rings and throw them into the water,” Somerhalder says.

As to why the stars hope their characters get dusted in the final season – thus depriving the world of Delena and Steroline happy endings – Somerhalder explains, “It would be a really great thing for Damon and Stefan to know that they can no longer cause any more harm to anyone.”

For the rest of the cast’s (far less morbid) happy endings, check out the full video! The Vampire Diaries airs Fridays at 8/7c on the CW.

After learning that someone from Stefan’s past may be Damon and Enzo’s next target, Stefan, Bonnie and Caroline head to North Carolina. There, Bonnie takes drastic measures in an attempt to break Enzo free of whatever has a hold over him. At the Armory, Alaric and Georgie stumble upon a mysterious symbol that may be related to the supernatural force controlling Damon and Enzo. Finally, Caroline gets an unexpected surprise from Stefan.

Only one more day until the season premiere!

TVLine caught up with Paul on the new season. To watch the video go here.

Much of what The Vampire Diaries‘ final season has in store for us remains a mystery, but there’s one thing fans of the long-running series can always count on: relationship drama!
Vampire Diaries‘ Ian Somerhalder Shares His Dream Ending For ‘Delena’ (and It’s Not What You Think)

“Stefan and Caroline start off pretty strong … and then it kind of spins out of control,” Paul Wesley told TVLine during a recent visit to the show’s Atlanta set. “It can get dark for a second. But the ultimate thing is, ‘Will they end up together?’ And that I actually don’t know.”

Also embedded in our discussion: Wesley’s personal investment in the future of “Steroline,” his thoughts on Stefan’s awkward relationship with Caroline and Alaric’s twins, and just how much Elena will impact these last 16 episodes.
